SEL09001W- Orient Star Classic Elegant – the rose gold tone watch

Orient Star
A watch with a single mission of being high quality, with a style that one will never fade away. Being in the front of the mechanical watch production in Japan, since 1950. Our foremost ORIENT STAR line features this classic 38.7mm stainless steel mechanical watch, showing a graceful rose gold case and crocodile textured dark leather band. Finishing the watch’s tempting artistic presentation is a white dial, a power reserve sub-dial, elegant blue hands, a date opening, and a hand-wound crown with automatic self-winding functionality. Roman numerals craftily embellish the chapter ring for a sophisticated and classic aesthetic. The perfect artistry of the case and chapter ring wonderfully frame the thorough movement of the watch, confined by sapphire crystal. Anti-reflective outside layer glass delivers increased visibility, diminishing reflection while adding enhanced scratch and stain resistance. The EL09001W wires a nonstop running time of 40 hours and water resistance of 50 meters. This modern watch is housed in a magnificently crafted matte black box featuring black suede inside. Orient Star Elegant Classic Automatic Power Reserve SEL09001W EL09001W Mens WatchThe Orient Star Classic Elegant watch has a very timeless design, to me it evokes an era before my time when a wrist watch distinguished you from the ordinary. It has sparkling and traditional looks, the dial is a cream white, and the inner bezel has been painted like classic rail road style minute markers. A set of ribbed rings under the black painted roman numerals, a date window at the 3 O’Clock marker, and the textured center, that includes a power reserve window and black painted Orient Star emblem with a rose gold tint. I appreciate that they make their own in house calibres, and that they are a subsidiary of Seiko (one of my favorite brands), and they have their own history and direction. It started when I purchased an Orient Ray and realized what an outstanding timepiece it was, not to talk about precise. I was blown away; I did not expect that kind of quality at that price. So I waited for a couple months and ended up purchasing two Orient Stars, the Classic (in stainless), and the Classic Elegant (in Rose Gold Tone). For the testimony, I am particularly attached to both but for different reasons. For reference after exchange rate I paid around $425 for the Elegant, and $330 for the Classic. On the whole the dial is, to my taste, flawless. It is readable, and elegant. It works with a informal pair of pants and shirt, and I would be at ease with it at a black tie event also. If you gaze intimately, at the detail you will find that the paint on the numerals is in between the concentric ribs of the rings and that it has a lined appearance. The watch has Breguet style hands that have been painted a dark but translucent blue. The color is appealing to look at, but occasionally glints blue, which contrasts nicely with the rose gold tone case. The crown on the watch is non-screw down, coin edged, slightly diamond shaped, and is signed with the Orient Star Insignia. It is not both simple and appealing in its design, standing out, nor an ugly thing, it works fine with the in general shape of the case. The top of the case is fitted with a slightly curved anti-reflective coated Sapphire Crystal. It fits completely with the general design of the case and actually, helps highlight the grace and finish of the watch. My only genuine worry is how the rose gold color is given, if it is plated, how long will it last? I hope that with proper maintenance, and treatment as a dress watch , it should last long because I prepare to keep this watch till it dies and cannot be revived.
